Former RB Leipzig coach Ole Werner rejects Al-Ahli

BILD reported Ole Werner rejected Al-Ahli’s approach as the Saudi Pro League saw him as one of the top candidates to replace Newcastle United-bound Matthias Jaissle. The report added the Asian Champions League winner will now move on to other top candidates.

The 38-year-old was relieved of his duties at RB Leipzig even after securing the return of the club to Champions League football in his debut season. With Al-Ahli urgently looking for a replacement, Werner decided on Tuesday against taking a first role outside Germany.
