Fortuna Sittard midfielder leaves Eredivisie for Sturm Graz

Sturm Graz have announced the signing of Ryan Fosso from Fortuna Sittard. The 23-year-old midfielder has signed a deal that will run until 2028 with the Austrian side. Sturm Graz announced the signing on social media today in a move that will certainly be a blow to Fortuna Sittard. The 23-year-old has been a key player since joining from FC Vaduz in 2024.
Fosso played 32 games in his first season in the Dutch top flight, scoring once and grabbing one assist. The midfielder has already played 19 games for Fortuna Sittard during the current campaign, grabbing one assist.
Fosso will join a Sturm Graz side that are currently sitting in third place in the Austrian Bundesliga, just four points adrift of leaders RB Salzburg. Sturm Graz have won two Bundesliga titles in a row, finishing second during the 2022/2023 and 2021/2022 seasons, both times behind RB Salzburg. Fosso’s first game with the club could ironically be back in the Netherlands, with Sturm Graz set to face Feyenoord in the Europe League.
