The 28-year-old Paquetá returned to Flamengo to boost his prospects and, after strong displays, made the squad. This will be his second World Cup, he started four games in 2022, scored against South Korea and assisted Neymar against Croatia.

Left-back Alex Sandro debuted for Brazil in November 2011 against Gabon and has been a frequent pick. He won the 2019 Copa América, played three matches in 2022 and has 44 appearances with two goals.

Defender Danilo was called earlier this year before the final 26 were announced. He joined Flamengo in 2025, won the Libertadores and the Brasileirão, and has 65 Brazil appearances with one goal and four assists.

Léo Pereira has three appearances, all under Ancelotti, most recently against Panama on Sunday, 31. Despite limited experience, he is in contention for a starting berth.

The World Cup begins on 11 July, with Mexico v South Africa and South Korea v Czech Republic opening the tournament across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Brazil share a group with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland, with two teams advancing. Their opener is scheduled for 13 June against Morocco at 19:00 Brasília time.
