Real Madrid are gearing up for their final away match of the season as they take on Sevilla.

It has been a disappointing season for Los Blancos, who have struggled greatly due to a lack of depth in the squad.

It was evident in the last game against Mallorca, where coach Carlo Ancelotti had to call up a lot of youth players just to fill the matchday squad.

And as Real Madrid prepare for the final two matches of the season, Ancelotti is facing the risk of losing more players ahead of their final league game against Real Sociedad next weekend.

Four Real Madrid players face suspension risk

Indeed, a total of four Real Madrid players are facing the risk of suspension heading into tonight’s encounter against Sevilla.

The players in question are Dani Ceballos, Federico Valverde, Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham.

All of these players are currently fit and therefore, integral in helping Ancelotti build a matchday squad.

But should any of these stars pick up a booking tonight against Sevilla, they could be ruled out for the final league game against Real Sociedad.

This is because of the yellow card rules, which dictates that any players picking up five yellow cards for the season will face a one-game suspension.

Given Real Madrid’s lack of depth, the club cannot afford to lose any of them, knowing it could put more pressure on Ancelotti to build a team for the clash against Real Sociedad.

Caution, therefore, could be the name of the game as Real Madrid lock horns with Sevilla tonight.

Fortunately for Ancelotti, he won’t have to deal with the pressure of fighting for the league title and can, therefore, experiment a little, as far as his starting eleven is concerned.
