Freiburg striker Junior Adamu heads to Parkhead for Celtic medical | OneFootball

Florian Plettenberg reports that Freiburg striker Junior Adamu and Celtic have reached full agreement on a January transfer. Can other clubs still hijack the deal?

As he did yesterday, Plettenberg claims that other parties remain interested in the SCF forward. The fact that Adamu is on his way to Parkhead nevertheless renders it unlikely that any other club can interfere at this point. Freiburg also have no reason to risk retaining Adamu in their squad. 

After a string of seven consecutive Bundesliga starts between matchdays four and ten this year, Adamu has not logged a single minute of league action in 2026. Adamu does bring with him plenty of Europa League experience, having appearances in all seven of Freiburg’s UEL fixtures.
