Defeated 2-0 by Brazil just a few days earlier, Senegal wasted no time in setting the record straight. In Tuesday’s friendly, the Lions absolutely demolished Kenya with an emphatic 8-0 scoreline.
From the opening minutes, the Senegalese side set a relentless pace that the Harambee Stars simply couldn’t match at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey. Chances came thick and fast, as did the goals. Sadio Mané bagged a hat-trick, while the lively Nicolas Jackson netted a brace. Malick Diouf, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Cherif Ndiaye also got their names on the scoresheet to round off this attacking festival.
This was more than just a win—it was a proud response from the Lions of Teranga, eager to erase the disappointment against Brazil and send a strong message to their future opponents ahead of the CAN Morocco 2025, set to kick off this December.
