Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has once again spoken openly about his love for Real Betis, fuelling fresh rumours about a possible return to his boyhood club.

The 28-year-old arrived in Seville this week to spend a few days on holiday, but his arrival quickly turned into a media moment when reporters asked about his future.

Ceballos didn’t hold back when asked about Betis. “Betis is my home and it always will be. I hope the door stays open forever.

“We will talk about the future after this week. There have not been any meetings yet,” he told reporters at the airport as quoted by El Chiringuito TV.

Facing uncertain role at Real Madrid

Ceballos’ future at Real Madrid remains unclear. Under Xabi Alonso, the midfielder has struggled to find consistent minutes.

During the recent Club World Cup, he played just 70 minutes across four matches, raising questions about his place in the team.

With his contract running until 2027, Ceballos is still tied to Madrid for the long term. However, the competition in midfield is fierce, and a move could benefit both the club and the player.

Real Madrid are currently managing a crowded squad, and a potential sale could help free up space.

Juventus interested as well

In addition to Betis, Italian giants Juventus are also monitoring Ceballos. Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus might try to sign him for around €12 million, although no official offer has been made.

For Betis, a reunion with Ceballos has always been on the table, but like Juventus, they have not yet made any formal approach.

As of now, Ceballos is enjoying his time in Seville, but the coming weeks could be decisive. Whether he stays at Madrid, returns to Betis, or moves to Serie A, his future is likely to be one of the big stories of the summer.
