Of Manchester United’s outcast attacking quartet, Jadon Sancho looks to be the closest to leaving.

While Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford await concrete approaches from their suitors in the next month, Sancho has been in talks with Juventus in hopes of plying his trade over in Serie A from 2025/2026.

The exiled forward had garnered interest from both Napoli and Fenerbahce, though neither went as far as inititing talks, with the former even going as far as issuing a public statement to declare they would not be signing Sancho on the wages he was demanding.

Juventus eye player exchange to seal Jadon Sancho coup

In an attempt to make negotiations easier from their end, Juventus are aiming to include a player in their proposal for Sancho to avoid paying his full £25 million price tag. Timothy Weah, Dusan Vlahovic, and Douglas Luiz have all been offered to United, with the latter seemingly taking the top spot for INEOS chiefs.

Italian reporter Giovanni Albanese revealed on Wednesday evening that the former Aston Villa star is a ‘profile’ that United ‘likes’.

They were linked with him back in January amidst his struggles for game time in Turin but he was reluctant to complete a mid-season departure. Now, he ‘could become a key’ to the Old Lady’s Sancho pursuit.

United would consider adding Premier League-proven Luiz to their ranks

Luiz joined the Serie A outfit last June in a £42.35m deal, bidding farewell to Villa before their highly-anticipated return to the Champions League, which he had played a pivotal role in qualifying for.

His time in Italy hasn’t panned out as he’d initially intended, however.

Across 2024/2025, the 27-year-old started only three league games whilst making 16 appearances off the bench, albeit suffering a few lengthy injury setbacks in between.

When Luiz was tipped to return to the Premier League, where he accumulated 175 appearances for the Midlands side, Villa’s president expressed just how key a role the 18-capped Brazilian had played for them prior to his departure.

“He’s a playmaker and every ball that comes out of his feet has a meaning: last year he played 90% of the games with us. He was decisive,” said Monchi.
