With Wolves unveiling their 150th anniversary kit, here are some of the club’s most memorable shirts.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the standouts span old gold classics, bold sponsors and a divisive, Mexican-style green third strip.
In 1974/75, a clean design with three wolves centred on the chest preceded victory over Manchester City in the League Cup final.
Umbro’s 1980 League Cup final kit, old gold with black trim and a V-neck, was immortalised by a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest, Andy Gray scoring after the break.
Tatung-sponsored pinstripes defined 1982/83, with old gold home and white away. Wolves finished Second Division runners-up and returned to the First Division after one season out.
In 1992/93, the tyre-mark home and blue away arrived. Wolves began with 12 unbeaten league games, best since 1949/50, yet finished 11th for a second successive First Division season.
A year later the Wolverhampton coat of arms returned, paired with Goodyear, a black collar and black sleeve trim, a design many fans still cherish.
Admiral’s Doritos era, 2002 to 2004, stood out visually and coincided with promotion to the Premier League.
Le Coq Sportif delivered a stripped-back 2009/10 look that remains popular in the stands, as Mick McCarthy’s side stayed up in the Premier League.
The 2019/20 Europa League third shirt from adidas went Mexican-inspired green with sublimated hoops and red accents, divisive at launch yet among the most distinctive in recent times.
