Real Madrid is looking to strengthen its right flank following Dani Carvajal’s serious injury.

According to Spanish press reports, several intermediaries, especially Italian ones, have contacted Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez in the last few hours to gauge the club’s intentions ahead of the winter transfer window.

Among the names on the Merengues’ radar is Roma right-back Zeki Çelik, whose contract expires in 2026 and has not yet been renewed.

According to Spanish website Defensacentral.com, the player could leave the capital as early as January if an offer of around €5 million is received.

At the moment, however, Real Madrid appears unwilling to make a move.

The priority remains Carvajal’s recovery, and the club hopes to see him back on the pitch before the end of the year, if all goes well. Caution, however, is warranted: the injury involves the knee, and the player will turn 34 in January, an age when recovery times tend to be longer, especially after so many seasons at the highest level.
