Frosinone set Ghedjemis price at €15-20m, as Rangers and Celtic bids rejected | OneFootball

Frosinone have turned down the Rangers offer for winger Fares Ghedjemis worth €10m, claim Sky Sport, which was higher than the one made by Celtic.

The Algeria international had already been heavily linked with a potential move to Scotland in January, but he and the Italian club had rejected the move to push for promotion from Serie B.

That was achieved and now the Canarini are preparing for the new season in Serie A, with his transfer value having doubled.

Ghedjemis bidding war in Glasgow

It was already known that a bidding war was breaking out between Glasgow rivals Rangers and Celtic for the player.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sky Sports Scotland, Celtic had proposed €7m over the weekend, and Rangers went better with a €10m offer.

However, neither will be sufficient, as the asking price has climbed to €15-20m, especially after Ghedjemis impressed with Algiera at the World Cup.

The right-sided winger turns 24 next month and last season helped Frosinone to promotion with 15 goals and three assists in 37 Serie B appearances.
