Inter will wait for the next transfer window to officialize the acquisition of Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb, but his agent Ashat Idrizovic confirmed it already to RB Sport (via Calciomercato).

“He has signed a contract with the Nerazzurri and will join them at the beginning of June.”

The representative downplayed the chatter about a possible quick loan to Zenit or Spartak Moscow.

“Inter want him and are waiting for him. They wish to integrate him into their group. Therefore, I think that temporary departure is improbable.”

Sucic recently returned from a significant foot problem that contributed to delaying his Inter move.

“He’s a professional and takes care of himself. He just came back after an injury and will give his 100 percent in every game to help his current team.”

The Nerazzurri will pay €14M plus €2.5M add-ons for the starlet. He has totaled 5 goals and 4 assists in 65 games with Dinamo Zagreb. He already has 21 continental matches to his name, plus 7 caps with Croatia.

Our Take on Inter and Sucic

The Club World Cup will offer them and Juventus a nice opportunity to evaluate players they aren’t 100 percent certain about. They can better exploit it since the Bianconeri will have bigger fishes to fry given the doubts about their coach and management.

They have rarely loaned out youngsters right away even when it could have been advisable because they were raw, like for instance Tomas Palacios. His role and minutes and the team’s strategy will hinge on the future of Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani, which is far from secure.
