Gabigol trains with ball and may return for Santos v Corinthians clássico | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Gabigol trained with the ball on Tuesday ahead of Santos's meeting with Corinthians at Vila Belmiro in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista, kick-off 19:30 Brasília time. His involvement depends on his physical response in the final session before the match.

After a day off on Monday, the squad returned to CT Rei Pelé for physical, technical and small-sided work. Gabigol took part throughout and was monitored by coaching and medical staff.

The forward missed Sunday's game against Guarani with tendinitis. Resting him at Brinco de Ouro was meant to leave him in better condition for the first home clássico of the season.

So far in 2026, he has played two matches. On debut against Novorizontino, he completed 90 minutes and scored in a 2-1 win.

He came on in the second half against Palmeiras in round two but could not alter the 1-0 defeat. After sitting out in Campinas, he now has a good chance of returning to the squad to face Corinthians.
