Right-back Gabriel Caipira, 21, has returned to Corinthians after a loan at Betim. "From what they said, I think they will not use me. The squad is already closed. I should report back, but train apart until they find a deal," he told TMC.
"If Corinthians gave me the chance to stay, I would renew and continue. I wanted to make my debut and experience playing at the Arena, but I do not know if it will happen."
The 21-year-old aged out of the academy after the 2026 Copinha, which he missed with a tibial stress fracture, and was not set to be used by then coach Dorival Júnior. He joined Betim on loan, playing 12 matches, 11 in Série D, a run that ended in the last 16 on the 13th.
"If something permanent appears, they will make it easier to keep only a percentage. If it is a loan, it will be like Betim, with Corinthians paying 100 percent of my salary. So far, only talks."
"There was LDU of Ecuador, a couple in Portugal and Belgium, and some from Série B. With the window opening this month, we are waiting to see what concrete offers arrive." His deal at Corinthians runs to 31 December.
Were he to stay, he would compete with Matheuzinho and Pedro Milans at right-back, with midfielder Raniele also used there by the current staff.
