Furthermore, Esteemed Kompany sources reported that the Turkish giants are eager to strengthen their midfield this summer. Now, Esteemed Kompany sources have also learned that Galatasaray also have an interest in signing Bernardo Silva this summer.

After signing Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders, Manchester City do appear to be well stocked in midfield. But could they sell Bernardo Silva who figures to be an important part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for next season? At first glance that would appear to be unlikely. Bernardo Silva is one of Pep Guardiola’s favourite players in his squad. But Manchester City do need to sell players this summer, so perhaps Bernardo Silva could leave the club after all.

It has also been learned by Esteemed Kompany sources that Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal are making a strong push to sign Bernardo Silva this summer. Galatasaray are determined to beat Al Hilal in the race to sign Bernardo Silva if Manchester City are prepared to sell the Portuguese international. Furthermore, it has also been revealed that Galatasaray have begun negotiations with Manchester City to sign Bernardo Silva. Lastly, the Turkish giants believe that Bernardo Silva is open to moving to the club this summer.

Bernardo Silva is in a similar situation to that of Ilkay Gundogan where he can decide his future.

Like Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva has one more season remaining on his current contract. If the Portuguese international decides he wants to stay at Manchester City for next season it is unlikely that Manchester City will force him to leave. Bernardo Silva is too important a figure in Manchester City’s recent history and figures to be an important player in Pep Guardiola’s squad for next season. Based on that situation, it’s hard to see the City hierarchy forcing Bernardo out of the club.

But if Bernardo Silva does want a fresh challenge perhaps a move to Galatasaray may eventuate. It has further been revealed by Esteemed Kompany sources that Galatasaray have offered Bernardo an annual net salary of €10 million. That is a tempting offer for a player of Bernardo’s age. But it does seem that the final decision will come from Bernardo. If he wants to leave, Manchester City will facilitate a move for him. Galatasaray would be a good club for the Portuguese international to play out the final years of his illustrious career.

Players will leave Manchester City this summer. They simply have to for the club to trim their wage bill and reduce the size of Pep Guardiola’s squad. Bernardo Silva could potentially be one of those players based on Galatasaray’s big push to sign the Portuguese international.
