Galatasaray have entered the chase for Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard, with the Süper Lig champions targeting the Belgian this summer. According to Turkish-Football.com, the Istanbul club have stepped up their interest.
The Lions are prioritising an attacking addition after their latest campaign, and see Trossard as a leading option. They are exploring a successor to Dries Mertens, who could accept a reduced role or depart, and believe Champions League involvement and a strong package could prove persuasive.
Mikel Arteta has previously described Trossard as a major asset, and the Belgian was central to Arsenal’s 2025-26 Premier League title triumph. He produced 19 goal contributions and struck a crucial winner against West Ham during the run-in.
Trossard is entering the final year of his contract, which runs to June 2027 if Arsenal trigger an extension clause. With the club reportedly targeting a younger left winger, including links to Nico Williams, they may listen to offers in the region of €20-25 million, £17-21m.
A move to Istanbul could offer Trossard a starting role at a major European side and regular contention for trophies. Although content at the Emirates, increased competition could keep him as a rotation option. Galatasaray scouts have reportedly been impressed by his versatility across the front line, including false nine, left wing and creative 10.
