According to Glorioso 1904, Galatasaray are studying a possible move for Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic, following reports in Türkiye on Tuesday.

Besiktas have been linked with Vangelis Pavlidis and Ivanovic has also been associated with a switch to Türkiye. Marco Silva wants the forward to stay, yet recent reports again place the Croatian near the exit.

Galatasaray will be in the 2026/27 Champions League and have a reputation for offering big salaries, factors that could appeal to the striker.

Ivanovic joined at the start of last season for 22.8 million euros from Union Saint-Gilloise. He is viewed as a potential priority for head coach Okan Buruk, who has filed reports in which the Croatian is highlighted.

Even if Galatasaray formalise their interest, a transfer may be unlikely. Benfica would only consider a sale if they at least recoup their outlay. A loan may make little sense at this stage.

Last season Ivanovic, valued at 15 million euros, made 42 appearances for Benfica, 25 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 11 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,437 minutes he scored nine goals and supplied two assists.
