Check out the best photos from City's goalless draw away to Aston Villa in the Barclays Women's Super League.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side were held to our first WSL draw of the season at Aston Villa, with the game being played in some blustery conditions.
It’s our first goalless draw in the league since September 2020, with former City goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck making some smart saves late on to prevent the visitors from picking up a late winner.
The Blues were on top for much of the second 45 with Sam Coffey seeing a deflected effort parried clear, while Sydney Lohmann, Vivianne Miedema and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw also all went close.
But Villa certainly made things difficult for us, particularly in the first 45 when Khiara Keating made an excellent stop to deny Anna Patten, while Chastity Grant also struck the post.
The draw means City now sit nine points clear of second-placed Manchester United, though our rivals have a game in hand.
Take a look at the best pictures from the draw below!
