AC Milan got a much-needed three points against Como on Tuesday night, but they needed to come from behind again under Sergio Conceicao.
The home side were in dreamland when the new signing Assane Diao fired them ahead, but Milan do not know when they are beaten under the new boss and scored twice inside five minutes to turn things around.
Theo Hernandez got the equaliser via a stroke of luck as he shanked a looping shot into the top corner, while Rafael Leao’s winner was a lovely goal from Tammy Abraham’s assist, with 1-2 the final score.
The newspapers in Italy this morning have reacted to Milan’s triumph, one that saw them gain two points on Juventus who drew with Atalanta.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Leao, another breakthrough. Milan come from behind against Como.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Theo plus Leao: Milan wake up. Fabregas’ side take the lead with Diao. The Frenchman and the Portuguese, in five minutes, gift the first league win to Conceiçao. Okafor to Leipzig collapses.”
Tuttosport: “Milan re-emerge from troubles. A scare in Como after Diao’s goal, but they complete a comeback like in the Supercoppa. Conceiçao unhappy: ‘I want more solidity’. Dig at Fonseca for muscle problems. Emergency against Juventus on Saturday.”
