Adriano Galliani has today spoken about his favourite Coppa Italia moment, and admitted his loyalties are still with AC Milan.
Few people know how success like Galliani, especially during his time at Milan. In his 31 years with the club, he won 29 trophies, a staggering feat and a display of how dominant the club were in that period of history.
Since leaving the club, the former CEO has certainly not tasted the same success, and his Monza team were relegated this season. However, he still has a keen eye on the Rossoneri, as would be expected.
Yesterday evening, Galliani spoke at a charity dinner organised by Serie A, and his words ahead of the Coppa Italia Final have been relayed by Milan News.
“Today I am no longer at Milan, but 31 years certainly cannot be forgotten and therefore I support Milan.”
Who will win, Milan or Bologna?
“I don’t make predictions, watch Inter-Barcelona”.
A favourite Coppa Italia win?
“The one won three days after Manchester. Our players took to the field against Roma and won after partying day and night for three days, and I won’t add anything else.”
It is certainly a difficult game to call, with both teams having a lot on the line. However, considering how much is required for the Diavolo to achieve Europe elsewhere, they may have to offer a little more here.
