Ever since the move to RB Leipzig broke down, AC Milan have been working to find a new club for Noah Okafor. While there are a few suitors, according to a report, it could be difficult to get everything done in time.
Okafor seemed destined to sign a contract with RB Leipzig at the start of the transfer window, even travelling to Leipzig for a medical. The German side then decided to pull out of the deal, referring to the medical tests, but Milan hit back at that which suggests it was for financial reasons.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan are still working on offloading the player and the likes of Tottenham as well as West Ham have expressed an interest. How concrete that interest is, however, remains to be seen.
The Rossoneri want to get rid of Okafor above all of the squad list, but also his salary, and could thus accept a loan formula. It’s certainly not ideal but we must remember that the Leipzig move was also meant to be a loan, albeit with an option/obligation to buy.
In the meantime, Milan have been linked with Joao Felix on the incoming front for the attack but it’s an operation that remains difficult.
