After the loss last night, AC Milan should not be hoping for a positive scorecard from the media today, and the ratings are not positive.

Another game with big hopes placed upon it has now passed and Milan, once again, could not get the job done. Even with a new system, the same problems are ever-present and there is a clear need for change in the summer.

As a whole, this morning’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has given the team a rating of five for a tenth league defeat. Then, Sergio Conceicao was given a 5.5, whilst there were signs of something in his set-up, the goal was easily conceded and there was no reaction.

The best of the bunch, if there was someone worthy of that title, was Alex Jimenez, who scored a six, though Matteo Gabbia, Mike Maignan and Strahinja Pavlovic also gained the same rating on the cards.

In midfield, Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana were both given a 5.5, and they were joined by Fikayo Tomori in defence too – the Englishman was deemed the worst of the back three.

Up front, no one was so lucky, with Christian Pulisic, Luka Jovic and Rafael Leao all being given a score of five. Though the worst performance of the game was given to Theo Hernandez, also a five – the report states he ‘forgot’ his man for the goal, and his offensive actions were not enough.

From the bench, Tammy Abraham, Joao Felix and Riccardo Sottil were all given a score of 5.5, whilst Samuele Chukwueze and Santiago Gimenez were not scored.

Certainly not a great game.
