Lorenzo Torriani is extremely well thought of among the AC Milan ranks, and despite warming up at San Siro, the goalkeeper did not finish the game at the iconic stadium, but why?

There is immense potential with Torriani and he showed this in the summer on the tour of the United States. With Marco Sportiello injuring himself on the tour, the young goalkeeper was given a chance to show his talents, which he duly did.

Against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City, the youngster showed his talents and he has earned a spot among the senior team as a result, albeit without many first-team minutes.

Nevertheless, he regularly features on the bench for the seniors, and seeing him at San Siro on Sunday was nothing new. As Gazzetta dello Sport recalls, the ‘keeper partook in training, but he did not see out the late drama.

Instead, he headed to Solbiate Arno, a 30-minute drive away, to feature for the Milan Futuro side. Due to injuries for Noah Raveyre and Lapo Nava, the youngster was required elsewhere, so departed to play against Rimini.

Despite the late change of plans, the shot-stopper kept a clean sheet and had an overall good performance. An interesting, yet certainly positive day for the 19-year-old.
