Daniele De Rossi has clear ideas about Tommaso Baldanzi’s future: he must remain at Genoa.

The attacking midfielder from Poggibonsi has always been a target of the coach, who also wanted him at Roma and then asked for him again in his new role as Genoa coach.

DDR has already spoken with president Sucu, CEO Blazquez, and director Lopez during recent discussions.

As reported by Il Secolo XIX, the Rossoblu club has made the decision: to speed up negotiations with Roma to keep Tommaso Baldanzi.

Genoa will have to work with the Giallorossi on the terms, but the buyout option is set at €10 million.

Genoa’s intention is clear: to please De Rossi by providing him with a player the coach believes is important to raising the team’s level.

The Grifone coach has often cited Baldanzi as an example of how to improve quality, technique, and intensity.

The path is clear: Roma will be happy to sell the attacking midfielder from Poggibonsi and collect €10 million, just as Genoa will be happy to add a player they like to De Rossi’s squad.

The Rossoblu’s first move on the transfer market will be to retain Baldanzi.
