Yann Bisseck has received criticism for his costly late substitute appearance in yesterday’s Serie A loss to Bologna for Inter Milan.

TuttoMercatoWeb note that the German international looked switched-off. He also had a role in Bologna’s late winner, not dealing with a header properly.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi decided to throw on defender Yann Bisseck late in the second half of yesterday’s Serie A clash with Bologna.

The decision appeared to be a reaction to a change from Bologna. Winger Nicolo Cambiaghi had come on, and was causing problems with his pace.

Therefore, Inzaghi put Bisseck on as a substitute to defend Inter’s left flank.

However, Bisseck’s substitution seemed to destabilize Inter’s defense at the decisive moment.

The Nerazzurri had just about been keeping Bologna at arm’s length prior to the 24-year-old’s introduction.

However, Yann Bisseck did not have the requisite concentration inside his own penalty area.

And this proved costly as Bologna mounted a late onslaught on the Nerazzurri box.

In the end it was a long throw by Rossoblu left-back Juan Miranda that was the undoing of Inter.

And Bisseck had a lot of responsibility for that. The German failed to track the flight of Miranda’s throw, and was unable to head it clear.

In the end, it was Bisseck’s header which fell to Riccardo Orsolini for a spectacular overhead kick winner.
