Two Bayern Munich players stole the show in Germany U21’s 6-0 win over Malta, with captain Tom Bischof bagging a hat-trick and 17-year-old Lennart Karl netting a brace on his debut for the team.

After the game, the Bayern duo earned praise from their teammate Nicolo Tresoldi.

“It was a lot of fun today in this amazing atmosphere,” the striker said in a post-match interview.

"We took a lot of shots on goal, but we actually need to score more. We still need to get better at that. What Karl and Bischof are doing is incredible – both have amazing quality, and it’s just fun to play with them,” he added.

Germany U21 will now turn their attention to Tuesday’s match against Georgia.
