Giovanni Reyna signs for Strasbourg on five-year deal to 2031 | OneFootball

Strasbourg have signed Giovanni Reyna from Mönchengladbach on a five-year contract running to 2031, in a deal worth about three million euros.

The Alsace club announced the deal on Tuesday. According to L'Équipe, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder is their sixth summer signing.

He arrives to bolster a midfield thinned since Valentin Barco left for Chelsea.

The United States international, capped 42 times with 10 goals, broke through at Dortmund but his trajectory has been uneven. Hamstring problems and below-par displays hit confidence.

A six-month loan at Nottingham brought 10 appearances, only two starts, with no goals or assists. His year at Mönchengladbach was similarly unconvincing, and he arrives at Strasbourg looking to regain his bearings.
