Girona will start LaLiga against Rayo at Montilivi | OneFootball

Girona FC vs Rayo Vallecano on the weekend of 17 August at Montilivi. This will be the first matchday of the 2025-2026 liguero championship. The LaLiga calendar was presented tonight at an event organised by the Spanish Federation in the small town of San Juan de la Nava, in Ávila.

The Red and Whites' first away game will be against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica on the weekend of 24 August. And to round off the month, matchday 3 will bring the visit of Sevilla to Girona.

Almost consecutive Catalan derbies

Both derbies against the other Catalan teams will be very close together. The first one against Espanyol will come on matchday 7 (28 September) and the venue will be Montilivi. Two matchdays later, on matchday nine (10 October), Michel's men will visit the new Camp Nou to face Barça.

Another of the historic teams, Real Madrid, will visit Montilivi on matchday fourteen. Another Madrid side, Atlético, will also travel to Girona on 21 December.

The first round will end at Montilivi with the visit of Osasuna and the second will begin at the RCDE Stadium with the match against Espanyol (18 January). On matchday 24, the second Catalan derby of the second half of the season with Montilivi as the venue and Barça as the rival. On the other hand, on matchday thirty-one, the Girona side will visit the Santiago Bernabéu to play Real Madrid.

LaLiga will end on 24 May at Montilivi against Elche.
