Olivier Giroud departed from AC Milan in the summer, but he still is watching the club from afar, and he posted a message of celebration on his Instagram after the derby win last night.

From January onwards, it seemed like Giroud was heading closer to the exit with the striker and Milan unable to agree on the terms of his renewal. The Frenchman wanted a more consistent role in the squad than the Rossoneri were willing to offer, so an exit was the best option for all parties.

There were no hard feelings from the departure, with everyone agreeing that the split was coming at the right time with the Diavolo wanting to invest in a striker regardless of whether Giroud stayed.

Although he moved on, the Frenchman still has been watching on, and after the win against Inter, Giroud celebrated the win with a post on his Instagram captioned ‘Sempre Milan’.
