FC Bayern is not only aiming high on the pitch – the new home kit for the 2026/27 season is also already causing a stir

The portal Footy Headlines has published the final design of the new Bayern jersey for the 2016/27 season, which for many fans immediately brings back memories of the most glamorous season in the club’s recent history

According to the leak, the jersey remains in the classic club colors of red and white. Golden accents are intended to give the whole thing a classy look – a clear allusion to the treble season of 2012/13 under Jupp Heynckes. The record champions are thus deliberately continuing a chapter that is still considered a benchmark today

Return to the classic look

Visually, the jersey will be predominantly bright red, interspersed with dark pinstripes – with the exception of the sleeves. White elements are planned for the collar and sleeve cuffs, which will be bordered by fine golden edging. It would be the first time since the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons that a Bayern home jersey has featured golden details again

The logos of equipment supplier Adidas and the sponsors are to be in white, while the club crest will appear in its classic form on the left chest. Overall, the design looks much more traditional than the current home shirt, which caused controversy with its red and white „M“ in the middle

The desire for a clear red and white identity had been repeatedly voiced in the active fan scene in particular. The Südkurve had repeatedly spoken out in favour of classic colors – without experimentation

Debut planned for May

According to Footy Headlines, the new home jersey will be worn for the first time at the last Bundesliga home game of the current season against 1. FC Köln on May 16

If the leak proves to be true, the design is likely to meet with widespread approval. Red, white – and a touch of gold: a combination that is not only visually convincing, but also sends a clear message symbolically.
