Gonçalo Guedes goes viral struggling to board plane after Copa del Rey triumph

A video of Gonçalo Guedes struggling to climb the plane steps on the flight home with the Copa del Rey went viral on Monday.

According to Superdeporte, the Real Sociedad forward set up their opener, then won the penalty that Oyarzabal converted for the second. Alongside fellow former Valencia player Carlos Soler, he was among the standouts in a final that went to extra time and penalties.

The occasion carried the tension of a title decided on the day, with physical and emotional demands beyond a normal match.

Even so, the winners were able to celebrate briefly in Andalucía. Take Kubo later told streamer Ibai Llanos that Guedes was among the liveliest during those celebrations.

One small boost is that the next league game is on Wednesday in San Sebastián against Getafe de Bordalás, sparing the squad an extra trip.
