Gordon Gets A Perfect 10 | Newcastle United Players Rated In Dominant Win Vs Qarabag

Newcastle United faced off against Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League earlier this evening as they looked to secure a win on the road. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the third minute thanks to Anthony Gordon’s effort. Malick Thiaw doubled his side’s advantage in the eighth minute before Gordon struck again in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot. Gordon completed his hat-trick a minute later before scoring again from the penalty spot in injury time. Eddie Howe’s men were leading 5-0 at the half-time break.
Elvin Cafarguliyev got a goal back for the home side in the 54th minute before Jacob Murphy scored Newcastle’s sixth goal in the 72nd minute. The match ended with Newcastle securing a dominant 6-1 win away from home.

LB: Lewis Hall – 7.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and was tidy with his passing.
CM: Sandro Tonali – 7/10
Tonali anchored the midfield well and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Joe Willock – 7/10
He managed to shine at times on both halves.
RW: Anthony Elanga – 7/10
Elanga made two decent chances in the final third but failed to register a goal.
CAM: Nick Woltemade – 7/10
He made one positive run with the ball but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.
LW: Harvey Barnes – 8/10
Barnes was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Anthony Gordon – 10/10
Gordon scored four times in the first half to help the Magpies earn a dominant win tonight. He deserves to be named the man of the match.
RW: Jacob Murphy – 7.5/10
He made one key chance in the final third and ended the game with a goal to his name.
CM: Jacob Ramsey – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
