Graham Potter ‘is said to be keen’ about being able to work with midfielder James Ward-Prowse after West Ham mutually terminated his loan at Nottingham Forest, according to ExWHUemployee.
West Ham sanctioned a loan deal for Ward-Prowse to join Nottingham Forest last summer on a season-long loan deal with no recall clause.
However, Ward-Prowse failed to shine in Nottingham Forest colours and made only ten appearances for them.
The 30-year-old midfielder is way down the pecking order in Nuno Espirito Santo’s Forest squad.
Ward-Prowse’s loan deal did not have any formal recall clause, so both West Ham and Nottingham Forest mutually decided to end the midfielder’s loan spell at the City Ground.
And it has been claimed that West Ham boss Potter was behind the Hammers willingness to cut short the midfielder’s loan spell.
The Hammers boss is keen to work with him.
Ward-Prowse will rejoin Potter’s side with immediate effect, and due to him featuring for West Ham earlier this season, it will restrict him from going out on another loan.
The midfielder, who has a contract with the Hammers until 2027, might be in the plans of the West Ham boss for the rest of the season.
