With Copa do Brasil fifth-round dates confirmed, Grêmio have mapped a 17-game stretch to the World Cup pause, starting Sunday at 20h30 against Remo at Arena do Grêmio in the Brasileirão’s 10th round.

According to Globo.com, the Tricolor will compete across the league, Copa do Brasil and Sul-Americana, with nine home and eight away fixtures. The itinerary spans five Brazilian states plus Uruguay, Chile and Argentina, with Gre-Nal set for 11 April at Beira-Rio.

Counting returns to Porto Alegre, the schedule totals 20,464 kilometres, though that figure could fall with smarter logistics. The longest leg is to Sergipe to face Confiança in May, 2,604 kilometres one way for the Copa do Brasil tie.

Three days after that match, Grêmio visit Bahia in Salvador, so remaining in the Northeast could trim travel further. Internationally, the Sul-Americana brings Montevideo City Torque, Deportivo Riestra and Palestino, with one tie in Chile still to be assigned a venue.

For now, only one fixture lacks a confirmed date and kick-off from the CBF, Corinthians in the 18th round of the league, with 31/5 listed as a base date.

The World Cup begins on 11 June. Domestic and continental competitions will resume only after the tournament, which concludes on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States.
