Grêmio will be without Arthur and Balbuena for Wednesday’s Gauchão meeting with São José at the Arena, with injured Pavon also sidelined.

According to Globo.com, the club has published its squad list for the second-round tie, but has not disclosed the reasons for the midfielder and defender missing out.

The Paraguayan centre-back has trained normally in pre-season after recovering from injury, yet his season debut will not come on this occasion.

Head coach Luís Castro is expected to alter most of the side that beat Avenida 4-0 in the opener, aiming to assess options and rotate. The probable XI is Grando, João Pedro, Noriega, Kannemann, Viery, Cuéllar, Dodi, Gabriel Mec, Willian, Aravena, André Henrique.
