League Two giant-killers Grimsby Town host Premier League Brentford on Tuesday, aiming for another major scalp in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The Mariners famously eliminated Manchester United in the second round. They now face a Brentford side, however, arriving in superb form after a stunning league victory over champions Liverpool at the weekend.
Manager David Artell has the luxury of a fully fit squad for this high-profile cup tie. Consequently, he is expected to name a strong lineup as Grimsby attempt to reach the quarter-finals. Charles Vernam, who scored against Manchester United, is likely to feature.
Keith Andrews will make wholesale changes to his side after the win against Liverpool. Midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk is a doubt after picking up an injury in that game. Furthermore, Aaron Hickey, Antoni Milambo, Paris Maghoma, and Gustavo Nunes are also unlikely to be risked.
The Mariners sit sixth in League Two and have already knocked out Sheffield Wednesday and Manchester United in this competition. Their league form has dipped slightly, however, with two defeats in their last three matches, including a 3-2 loss at Crewe on Saturday.
The Bees are in excellent form, having won three of their last four Premier League games, capped by a thrilling 3-2 victory over Liverpool. Their cup run has seen them overcome Bournemouth and Aston Villa (on penalties) to reach this stage.
Grimsby Town predicted XI: Pym; Rodgers, Warren, McJannet, Sweeney; McEachran, Green; Amaluzor, Walker, Vernam; Kabia
Brentford predicted XI: Valdimarsson; Kayode, Pinnock, Ajer, Henry; Janelt, Onyeka, Jensen; Nelson, Carvalho, Lewis-Potter
The match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports+.
