Group A concludes to decide last U-17 World Cup berth

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers concludes with two final Group Stage matches on Thursday.
Group A will be the last to finish play with the winner earning the region’s final available berth for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026.
Group A
Saint Martin vs. Barbados
Saint Martin and Barbados meet in Group A at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The meeting will be the first in their history in the U-17 Qualifiers.
Saint Martin (1-0-2) looks for a positive result to close its participation. Saint Martin’s three points came from its opening match of the tournament, with a 3-nil result over Sint Maarten.
Barbados is third in the group with six points (2-0-1). The Tridents began the Group Stage defeating Trinidad and Tobago 1-nil, and Sint Maarten 7-1, followed by a 4-1 loss against Mexico.
Mexico vs. Trinidad and Tobago
Group A wraps up with a battle for first place as leaders Mexico and hosts Trinidad and Tobago face off at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Mexico enters the match undefeated (3-0-0). El Tricolor has only conceded once, having posted 10-nil, 4-nil, and 4-1 victories over Sint Maarten, Saint Martin, and Barbados, respectively. The two-time champions will directly qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup with a win or draw.
Trinidad and Tobago currently sit second in Group A with six points (2-0-1). The Soca Warriors must win by at least five goals to advance on goal difference.
The occasion presents the sixth meeting between the nations in tournament history. Mexico leads the series with four wins and a draw.
