It’s the international break – how about a little game? You’ve got to guess the Chelsea player from the clues. Every clue you take removes a point from your total. You start with 6 points…
This player averages 1.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League this season. Only one teammate averages more.
This player has averaged 1.1 shots per game in the Premier League, placing him 7th in the Chelsea squad overall. He has scored one goal.
This player joined Chelsea for a deal worth around £54m, from another Premier League team.
After playing at every youth level, this player made his full national debut in November 2020. He became the first player born in the 2000s to represent his nation.
He has started all 7 of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far this season, further establishing him as one of Enzo Maresca’s absolute favourites in the squad. He’s generally one of the more durable squad members, despite a patchy injury history before he joined Chelsea.

It is, of course, Pedro Neto. The Portugal winger has established himself as one of Enzo Maresca’s absolute favourites in his two years since arriving at Chelsea. He’s not perfect – we’d love some more composure in the final third, but he’s a really hard working and disciplined player who stretches the game with his pace and we can see exactly why the manager likes him so much.
The fact that he can play on both sides also adds a lot to his utility – we see him go both sides in games.
He’s been called our “unsung hero”, and while that may be going a little far, he certainly doesn’t get as much recognition from the wider footballing world as he deserves.
