Guro Reiten has extended her contract with Women's Super League (WSL) club Chelsea until 2026.

Blues fans will be pleased to hear that the Norweigan star will remain in Cobham for another two years after Chelsea triggered their option to extend her contract on Tuesday. Reiten has made 177 appearances for the west-London club after first putting pen to paper in 2019.

Reiten has since become a fan-favourite, scoring 32 goals in 102 WSL appearances. Since her arrival, the 30-year-old has been integral to Chelsea's national dominance, helping the team achieve five consecutive league titles.

The attacking midfielder recently took home the award for the WSL November Player of the Month, after an emphatic start to the 2024/25 season. Despite a strong start off the mark in the current season, fans will never forget Reiten's heroic display in the 8-0 victory over Bristol City that helped Chelsea reconcile their title hopes in the 2023/24 campaign.

Reiten is closing in on 100 appearances on the international stage for Norway, scoring 21 times for her nation. The electric forward has represented her country at two FIFA Women's World Cups and two European Championships, and will be eager to rectify Norway's disappointing form in Switzerland this summer.

Chelsea will return to action this weekend as they host Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
