Gustavo Henrique named in Libertadores round two team after goal and assist

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians centre-back Gustavo Henrique has been named in the Libertadores 2026 round two team after scoring and assisting in the 2-0 win over Santa Fe.

Conmebol selected the defender following a decisive two-way display, and he has been part of a back line yet to concede in the competition.

Six minutes into the second half, after a Rodrigo Garro corner, Gustavo Henrique headed across the six-yard box for Raniele to turn in.

The second arrived on 35 minutes of the half, Garro delivered to the back post, the No 13 stretched and finished with his knee, looping the ball over the goalkeeper.

It was his eighth goal for the club, making him the decade’s joint most prolific Corinthians defender alongside Cacá.

He can add to those numbers on Saturday from 20:00, when Corinthians visit Vitória at Barradão in the 12th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
