As reported by HNB, Sint Truiden star Ryotaro Ito remains a wanted man. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder from Japan was subject of interest from then newly promoted Hamburg last summer, and the Bundesliga side, who look set to remain in the top flight, are looking to bring him across the border to Germany this summer. Ito is set to be out of contract in the summer, but there is hope amongst those within Sint Truiden that he will sign a new deal if they can secure a European ticket.

Sint Truiden have had a fantastic season so far and look set to be in with a real shot at securing a European ticket. Ito has been one of the catalysts for this season, with seven goals and three assists so far. Anyone who has seen Sint Truiden play in recent seasons will understand the quality that Ito brings to the side, with wonderful technique on the ball and great vision. Ito joined Sint Truiden back in 2023 from Albirex Niigata. Since then he has played 101 games for the Canaries, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists.
