Hansi Flick on Lamine Yamal’s chances of starting for Barcelona vs Girona | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into his plans for Lamine Yamal for the club’s next outing.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action on Sunday evening, when they play host to Catalan rivals Girona for a La Liga clash.

Fresh off a premature return to action on the back of the international break against Osasuna on Thursday, the Blaugrana coaching staff have in turn been widely tipped to rotate the club’s XI.

The aforementioned Lamine, for one, has been rumoured to drop to the bench, fresh off back-to-back starts for Spain, and another against Osasuna.

Speaking during his latest pre-match press conference on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the possibility of affording his attacking prodigy a rest against Girona was put to Hansi Flick.

And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to respond:

“Lamine Yamal is very smart and knows how to dose himself in the games. He told me that he feels good. He is aiming to start tomorrow.”
