Celtic Walking Tours is a great way to learn more about Celtic’s history, get fit – and do all of this for FREE. There’s even some options to visit the pub!

The walks began in May 2023 as part of the promotion for a new book about Celtic’s first league title, which was published by The Celtic Star. The Bould Bhoys! Glory to their name is still available to buy online at Celtic Star Books.
Two years on, the walks are going strong and have expanded to tell different stories from Celtic’s history, taking in different parts of Glasgow. This includes the southside, west end, city centre and also a matchday pub walk.
Best of all, the tours are totally free, although also remember Celtic’s charitable roots. Participants do not have to pay any money, although donations to the Celtic FC Foundation – or other causes – are encouraged.

The tours are run by Celtic Star writer Matthew Marr. He has published various articles and podcasts, as well as the Celtic league title book. He is currently working on more books, which should be published within the next year or so.
There has been a great reaction to the walks, and they even feature on Trip Advisor! Some fans comments include “fantastic”, “superb” and “outstanding.” In particular, there’s been lost of praise for the host, who has been described as “hugely engaging.”
