Harry Gray shortlisted for PL2 Player of the Month award

Leeds United forward Harry Gray has been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for August, after a strong start to the new campaign with the club’s U21s.

Gray hit the ground running in PL2, opening his account with a superb brace in a 3–0 win away at Aston Villa U21s, before scoring the opener in a 3–2 defeat to Ipswich Town at Thorp Arch.

The 16-year-old rounded out his month by netting a late winner and providing an assist to seal a 2–1 victory over Burnley U21s at Turf Moor, helping the Whites climb up to eighth place after three games.

Gray faces competition for the award from Shumaira Mheuka (Chelsea), Shane Nti (Brighton), Charlie Tasker (Brighton), Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny (Tottenham), Charles Sagoe (Arsenal), Mirsad Ali (Leicester) and Kevon Gray (Leicester).
