But, as is clear from how the season has unfolded, the German coach has been quite successful in bringing out the best from most of his players.

The one player who has benefited the most from the former Bayern Munich trainer’s arrival is the winger Raphinha, who is having an incredible season and is currently one of the favorites to win the next Ballon d’Or.

The Brazilian was once again crucial for the Catalan side last night against Celta Vigo as he scored two goals in the last phase of the game to ensure his team got the full three points from this match.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Raphinha also spoke to the media after the game and recognised the immense impact that Flick has had on his career.

The Brazilian star was clear that everything had changed for him with the German coach’s arrival:

“The truth is that, for me, it changed pretty much everything. As I’ve said before in interviews, I was leaving the club before the season even started. The coach was super important in changing my mind and convincing me to stay.

He gives me all the confidence in the world to do everything I’m doing. For me, like I said, he’s changed everything. He’s practically changed my whole career. I’m having the best spell of my career since I started playing football, and I owe it all to him.”

There is no doubt that Flick has unlocked Raphinha, who has already scored 30 goals this season. It is definitely good to see the Samba star recognising the impact of the Barcelona coach on his game, and hopefully, he will continue playing his part to help his team end the season with all three big trophies in their bag.
