Real Madrid are going for their third trophy of the season on Sunday, as they prepare to take on Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final. Los Blancos will be eyeing up a repeat of last year’s showpiece event in Saudi Arabia, which they won 4-1 after a hat-trick from Vinicius Junior.
Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to the media on Saturday ahead of the match, and he confirmed that he will have Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham available to face Barcelona, after the trio suffered blows during the semi-final victory over Mallorca on Thursday (via MD).
“We arrived at the match in good shape. With a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of desire. The problems we had against Mallorca have been resolved and all the players are available. Bellingham is fine, he has recovered well. It’s very important because he has been on a good run. He is a player who at this moment has made the difference.”
Ancelotti also gave his thoughts on how he believes that his Real Madrid side can be victorious on Sunday.
“In El Clasico, quality prevails over the balance of the team and that’s one of the reasons why the last Clasicos have been a little crazier. It is an important aspect in tomorrow’s game that of the defence. If you defend well, there is a better chance of winning.”
