John Terry has been speaking about Cole Palmer and has likened the England international to a former Chelsea great.
Palmer has exceeded all expectations since swapping Manchester City for Chelsea in the summer of 2023, and has quickly established himself as Chelsea’s best player, as well as one of the best in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old is once again leading the way for the Blues this season with 14 goals and six assists so far, although his form has taken a dip recently.
Palmer hasn’t scored in his last eight games for the Blues and missed the first penalty of his career in the win against Leicester earlier this month.
The attacker missed the game against Arsenal through injury, and it’s understood the results of his first scan are back.
Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba feels Palmer would benefit massively from the Blues signing some experienced players.

Palmer is a joy to watch when playing at his best and Chelsea will be hoping he can return to form for the final part of the season, as they look to qualify for the Champions League and win the Conference League.
Terry is a huge fan of Palmer and has compared him to Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola with the way he’s always playing on the half turn.
“When you go to these games at the Bridge you can’t help but just watch and follow him,” Terry told talkSport.

“The ball’s at the other end of the pitch, and you’re just watching his movement, he’s always on the half-turn, getting in little pockets.
“(Gianfranco) Zola used to find himself in areas that he didn’t even know existed. He’s the same as well, but he turns and wants to drive at people and play forward, which I think is the key to it.”
