Hincapie started Ecuador’s friendly draw with Morocco in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. He was substituted in the 73rd minute after sustaining an injury.
He has been a key player for Arsenal since signing last summer, making 33 appearances in all competitions.
The current international break has been devastating for Arsenal. Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke have all picked up issues.
William Saliba, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Odegaard are all dealing with injuries. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be worried.
The Gunners need all the help they can get for the Premier League title run-in and their Champions League campaign. They also remain in the FA Cup.
Arteta will hope Riccardo Calafiori can stay fit, while youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly will be keen to get a chance to prove himself again.
Arsenal cannot afford to wallow in self-pity now.
Injuries are part and parcel of a gruelling season, especially for a side competing on multiple fronts, and champions are defined by how they respond to adversity.
This is where Arteta’s squad must show its depth, resilience, and title-winning mentality.
Opportunities will open up for others, and those stepping in must deliver without hesitation.
The margin for error in a Premier League title race is razor-thin, and any slip could prove fatal. Arsenal have come too far to let setbacks derail their ambitions.
If they are serious about reclaiming the crown for the first time since 2004, this is the moment to dig deep, stay focused and keep winning.
