Che Adams could be set for a return to English football during the summer transfer window.

The former Southampton and Birmingham City forward is currently competing with Scotland at the World Cup.

However, he plies his trade with Torino at club level, having joined the Italian side in 2024 as a free agent following his exit from the Saints.

So far the 29-year-old has contributed 15 goals and five assists from 69 appearances in Serie A since joining the team.

However, his future has become the subject of speculation in recent months, with it being claimed that Wolves are interested in a move.

Adams’ contract with Torino is set to expire in June 2027, raising even further questions over his future in Italy.

It has been reported by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web that Adams is interested in a potential move back to English football.

It’s believed that Wolves are keen on a deal for the Scotland international, but that they face competition from Venezia for his signature.

The Italian side have reportedly had an offer worth between €4 and 5 (£3.4 and 4.3) million rejected, indicating a bigger bid will be needed from Wolves if they are to enter this transfer tussle.

Adams spent five seasons with Southampton, including one in the Championship, before making the switch to Italy two years ago.

The forward contributed 16 goals and four assists as the Saints earned promotion to the Premier League in 2024, winning the play-offs under Russell Martin.

However, the expiration of his contract led to his departure from St. Mary’s despite their return to the top flight.

How Wolves fans feel about signing Che Adams

Wolves have already signed Raul Jimenez back to the club as a free agent this summer, leading to some supporters believing the hierarchy should focus on other positions of need.

While others are unhappy with the prospect of the Scotland international moving to Molineux.

Meanwhile, some Wolves fans are simply frustrated to be linked with the 29-year-old again, as he has often been rumoured with a switch to the Old Gold in the past.

It remains to be seen whether Wolves are prepared to make an offer that Torino will deem acceptable this summer.

Che Adams signing won’t excite Wolves fans

Adams has experience in the Premier League and the Championship, so there’s every reason for Wolves to be interested.

The forward is attainable at a potentially reasonable cost at a seven figure sum, and he’s a proven track record of scoring goals at a second division level.

But Cesar Peixoto will also have Jimenez and Adam Armstrong at his disposal to lead the line next season, so signing the 29-year-old won’t be the most exciting option this summer for fans.

While other areas of the squad also need improvement, perhaps adding someone with more upside potential, like a young option with a lot of potential, might be more likely to garner a positive reaction.
