The Cantera Rojiblanca continued its journey in the Clausura 2026 with demanding matchups across Matchdays 9 and 10 in the different Liga MX youth categories. Guadalajara’s Subs faced off against their city rival and Tigres, clashes in which they played with pride and defended the Rojiblanco colors with determination.
As always — and knowing that the Nación Chiva closely follows every step of the best academy in Mexico — here’s a full recap of how Chivas’ youth teams performed this weekend.
Sub 19
Chivas’ youngsters faced none other than the Clásico Tapatío in Matchday 10, where they earned a convincing 1-2 victory over their city rival. Guadalajara imposed its style from the opening minutes and reflected it on the scoreboard in the 30th minute, when Gael García put the Rebaño ahead.
The team from Nextipac equalized in the 46th minute, but the Rojiblancos refused to back down and sealed the win through Leonardo Ramírez in the 51st minute. With the result, Guadalajara sits in ninth place with 12 points and two matches still to be played.
Sub 15
The Rojiblancos traveled to Zuazua for Matchday 9, where they delivered an emphatic 2-5 victory over Tigres. The Rebaño struck early when César Quintana opened the scoring in the 5th minute. Goals from Noé Salazar in the 30th minute, Gael Aguilar in the 33rd, and Dilan Padilla in the 54th extended the lead, while an own goal in the 90th minute sealed the Chiverío’s victory.
With the result, Chivas Sub 15 sits in fourth place in Group 2 with 13 points and one match still pending.
Sub 17
The Sub 17 side also faced Tigres in Matchday 9 of CL26, securing an important 0-1 victory at the Zuazua facilities. The winning goal came early in the match, in the 7th minute, courtesy of Jorge Lewis. That early strike allowed the Rebaño to control the game and secure all three points.
The victory keeps Guadalajara at the top of Group 2 with 18 points.
Sub 21
The Sub 21 side faced Atlas in the Clásico Tapatío during Matchday 10. Despite the persistence and determination shown throughout the match, the Rojiblancos were unable to secure the result, falling 2-1 to their city rival.
Guadalajara’s goal was scored by Diego Rosales in the 8th minute, but the team from Nextipac managed to turn the match around. The Rebaño currently sits in tenth place in the overall standings with 15 points and one match remaining.
Sub 19 Women’s
The Rojiblancas faced Tigres in Matchday 9 and, despite showing strong character on the pitch, fell 3-1 in Monterrey. Chivas’ goal was scored by Ivana Labra in the 84th minute.
Chivas Femenil Sub 19 currently sits in fifth place in Group 2 with 11 points and one match still to be played.
